Jetstar, the budget carrier run by Qantas Airways
Ltd., Thursday inaugurated its first direct flight connecting
Sydney to Vietnam's southern commercial hub of Ho Chi
Minh City.
The
airline will operate three flights a week and use A330-200
aircraft serving two categories, Economy and Star Class.
It
is US$268 for one-way ticket bought at agents.
The
prices include the seat only, for other services such
as food and drink, customers have to pay. The minimum
price of food and drink is $10.
Customers
can book tickets for flights to Sydney and from Sydney
to cities of Australia and New Zealand at website
www.jetstar.com
or contact R.102 at Saigon Trade Center (37 Ton
Duc Thang Street, District 1, HCMC).
According
to a Qantas representative, Vietnam has become a hot
destination for many Australian travelers.
Additionally,
the carrier expected great potential out of the market,
especially after the country was formally invited to
join the World Trade Organization.
Qantas
started Sydney-HCMC service since 1994, but stopped
the service in 1998 due to low demand.
The
airline has now entered into a code-share agreement
with Vietnam Airlines. ThanhNiennews |
