Foreign passport holders have
been exempted from entry visas to visit Phu Quoc Island
in the southern province of Kien Giang for less than 15
days, according to a new prime ministerial decision.
The decision, regulating entry and exit of foreigners
on Phu Quoc Island, exempts entry visas for holders of
passports valid for at least 45 days. Foreign visitors
who enter Phu Quoc by seaway and airlines have to complete
their entry procedures at immigration offices at the bordergate
and international airport, respectively.
Foreigners who plan to visit localities close to the island
require a visa from the island’s immigration office, who
would also consider an extension for those who want to
stay on the island for more than 15 days. Crews of foreign
ships, with passports valid for entry, can reside on the
island for the period when their ships are anchored. |
