A memorandum has been signed between representatives of Banyan Tree and the provincial people's committee.

The 200-hectare complex includes six resorts and hotels with 2,400 rooms. The total investment capital is over US$200 million.

Banyan Tree has invested in more than 60 similar international standard tourism and services complexes in 22 countries.

The 27,000 ha Chan May-Lang Co economic zone, 70km from Hue city, has lured 61 investment projects. Among them, there are 23 tourism projects, with four coming into operation and four others to be carried out in 2007.

The provincial authorities offer preferential treatments in land leasing and taxation to investment projects in the Chan May-Lang Co economic zone to appeal to investors.
