Da Nang Cultural Tourism Festival to start on July 8

Da Nang Festival 2005 will be held from July 8-10 with the aim of promoting Da Nang’s image through cultural and entertainment activities.

The event aims to attract more tourists to Da Nang city, helping the city increase its revenue from tourism service, improve the quality of the tourism environment, as well as enrich the cultural and spiritual lives of local people.

The festival will open at 8pm on July 7 at Chi Lang Stadium under the theme "Han River Meeting" with the participation of more than 200 actors and actresses from Hue, Quang Nam, Tay Nguyen and Da Nang and art troupes from the Republic of Korea and Japan.

During the festival, diverse activities will be held, including a traditional cuisine festival, traditional games, street dances, fashion shows, camping activities and traditional crafts exhibition.
